These Terms of Service govern your use of the Kya Khaoge app. In plain terms: use the app responsibly, don't misuse it, and understand that AI-generated recipes are suggestions — always use your own judgement when cooking. We're here to help you cook better, not to replace professional advice.
1. Acceptance of Terms
Welcome to Kya Khaoge ("the App"). By downloading, installing, accessing, or using the Kya Khaoge mobile application, you ("User", "you") agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.
These Terms apply to all users of the App, including users in India and the United States of America.
2. Eligibility
To use Kya Khaoge, you must:
- Be at least 13 years of age (or the minimum digital age of consent in your country)
- Have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement
- Not be prohibited from using the App under applicable law
If you are under 18, you may use the App only with the consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian.
3. The Service
3.1 What We Provide
Kya Khaoge is an AI-powered mobile application that:
- Allows users to take photographs of the contents of their refrigerator
- Uses artificial intelligence to identify food ingredients visible in the photograph
- Generates personalised recipe suggestions based on identified ingredients
- Provides step-by-step cooking instructions in Hindi and English
- Offers a freemium model with 3 free scans per day and unlimited scans for premium subscribers
3.2 AI-Generated Content Disclaimer
Important: Nature of AI Recipes
All recipes generated by Kya Khaoge are created by artificial intelligence and are suggestions only. We do not guarantee: (a) the accuracy of ingredient identification from photos; (b) the nutritional accuracy of any recipe; (c) the suitability of any recipe for specific dietary requirements, allergies, or medical conditions; or (d) the safety of any cooking method suggested. Always use your own judgement, verify ingredients, and consult a qualified professional for dietary or medical advice.
3.3 Service Availability
We strive to maintain the App's availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may temporarily suspend the App for maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control. We are not liable for any loss caused by service interruptions.
4. User Accounts
Certain features of the App (including premium subscriptions and scan history) require account registration. When creating an account:
- Provide accurate, complete, and current information
- Keep your login credentials confidential
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account
- You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account
We reserve the right to terminate accounts that provide false information, violate these Terms, or are inactive for more than 24 months.

6. Payments & Subscriptions
6.1 Billing
Premium subscriptions are billed monthly. Payment is processed by Razorpay (India) or Stripe (United States) at the time of purchase and on each subsequent renewal date. By subscribing, you authorise us to charge your chosen payment method on a recurring basis.
6.2 Cancellation
You may cancel your premium subscription at any time through the App's account settings or by contacting us. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You will retain premium access until the period you have paid for expires.
6.3 Refunds
We offer a 7-day refund from the date of initial purchase of a premium subscription if you are not satisfied. After 7 days, all subscription fees are non-refundable. Refunds for technical failures will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
6.4 Price Changes
We reserve the right to change subscription prices with 30 days' notice. If you do not cancel before the price change takes effect, your continued use constitutes acceptance of the new pricing.
7. Acceptable Use Policy
By using Kya Khaoge you agree NOT to:
- Use the App for any unlawful purpose or in violation of applicable laws
- Upload photographs that contain nudity, violence, or offensive content
- Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract the App's source code
- Circumvent or attempt to bypass daily scan limits or other restrictions
- Use automated tools, bots, or scripts to access the App
- Share your account credentials with third parties
- Use the App to generate content that harasses, defames, or harms others
- Attempt to overload, disrupt, or interfere with the App's infrastructure
- Misrepresent yourself or your affiliation with any person or organisation
- Collect or harvest any personally identifiable information from other users
Violation of this Acceptable Use Policy may result in immediate account suspension or termination without notice or refund.
8. Intellectual Property
8.1 Our IP
The Kya Khaoge app, including its name, logo, design, code, user interface, content, and AI-generated recipe framework are protected by applicable intellectual property laws in India and internationally. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes.
8.2 Your Content
You retain ownership of any photographs you take using the App. By using the App, you grant us a limited, royalty-free licence to process your fridge photographs solely for the purpose of generating recipe suggestions. We do not store, sell, or share your photographs. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
8.3 AI-Generated Recipes
Recipes generated by the App's AI are provided for personal use only. You may not reproduce, sell, license, or distribute AI-generated recipes from the App for commercial purposes without our prior written consent.
9. Disclaimers & Limitations of Liability
9.1 No Warranty
The App is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that:
- The App will be error-free or uninterrupted
- AI ingredient identification will be 100% accurate
- Recipes will be suitable for your specific dietary needs, allergies, or health conditions
- Results will meet your expectations
9.2 Food Safety

Kya Khaoge does not provide professional nutritional or medical advice. Always check ingredients for allergens before cooking. If you have food allergies, intolerances, dietary restrictions, or medical conditions, consult a qualified nutritionist or doctor before following any AI-generated recipe. We are not responsible for any adverse reaction, illness, or injury arising from following recipes generated by the App.
9.3 Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the App. Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 3 months preceding the claim.
10. Third-Party Services
The App integrates with third-party services. Your use of these services is governed by their respective terms of service and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices of these third parties.
The App may display links to third-party websites or services. We do not endorse or assume responsibility for any third-party content, products, or services.
11. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time, with or without notice, if you violate these Terms. You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us. Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately. Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination (including intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitation of liability) shall survive.
12. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
12.1 Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. The Courts of Ahmedabad, Gujarat shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any disputes arising from these Terms.
12.2 For Indian Users
Any disputes arising from these Terms shall first be attempted to be resolved amicably within 30 days. If unresolved, disputes shall be referred to arbitration under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996, with the seat of arbitration in Ahmedabad, Gujarat.
12.3 For US Users
If you are a US user, you may have additional rights under applicable US state law. Nothing in these Terms limits any non-waivable statutory rights you may have under US federal or state consumer protection laws.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you through the App or by email at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Your continued use of the App after the effective date of revised Terms constitutes your acceptance of the changes.
We encourage you to review these Terms periodically. The current version is always available within the App.
14. General Provisions
- Entire Agreement — These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement.
- Severability — If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
- Waiver — Our failure to enforce any provision of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of that provision.
- Assignment — You may not assign your rights under these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign our rights without restriction.
- Force Majeure — We are not liable for any failure to perform our obligations due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, internet outages, government actions, or AI service provider downtime.
- Language — These Terms are written in English. In case of any conflict between an English version and a translated version, the English version prevails.
